The proposal outlines an urban plan based on the memory of place, with an unit concept (the order of the chaos). The HOUSING responds to a constructive technique, characteristic of the Colombian coffee region: “metallic bahareque” - it structures in guadua (bamboo), walls in cardboard, glass, paper and some natural preservatives, facilitate the transformations in their interior, so each family can build its own universe; looking for a contemporary expression. Maximiliano Montes Julian Gomez WRITTEN BY JOSÉ FERNANDO MUÑOZ R - PROFESSOR - DIRECTOR One of the Latin American contemporary architect's challenges, is the performance in outlying territories, where the planning finishes and the informality is imposed. This project proposes an urban renovation - in-situ, reinterpreting in a contemporary way, from the architecture, the anthropological, physical & spatial and, environmental & natural topics, of a typical human establishment of the periphery in the Latin American Andean city, but particular in its content and development, in the search of some contemporary local architectures of universal transcendency. For it, the merits of this degree work.
