Advertsing Agency Offices and Skate Park, Salford Part 1 Project 2005 Hannah Cook Manchester School of Architecture Manchester | UK The scheme, office and public space is an abstraction of the Salford landscape. The locality is dominated by surface level car parks; the public space creates an image of this condition and may indeed be used for overspill car parking. The office is generated from a car-parking bay module; each space accommodates two workstations. Circulation between car-parking bays translates to a different quality of space; entrance hall or photocopy store. Non-uniform space projects beyond the south façade in cantilevered steel units. The north billboard façade exploits its exposed position in order to generate maximum advertising revenue.
