Hedge Condition, Salford Part 1 Project 2005 George Morgan Manchester School of Architecture Manchester | UK The scheme occupies the perimiter of the site, to fill the gap in the disintegrated urban fabric of central Salford. With a scarcity of programme and surplus of site, the central part of the site is not built on, the building stretched around the perimiter like a hedge. A fence-like structure in places, in others sedum, grass and wildflower infill panels attest to the building's conceptual hedge status.
