Research Centre Part 2 Project 2008 Eamon McCaul Liverpool John Moores University Liverpool | UK Eamon McCaul's thesis work considered the future of non-urban landuse in Britain, proposing a group of buildings where GM technologies were at the heart of the research undertaken within. At the centre to the group is a publically accessible laboratory, where the demise of honey bees, an internationally notable phenomenon, is being reversed through the study of the effects of various GM crops and flowering plants on pollination. As such, the building looked for an architecture that inter-connected the bees, the crops, the scientists and the public.
