In terms of form and figure.GENERAL OBJECTIVE: Design a courthouse from the concept of the public. DEFINITION OF THE CONCEPT OF THE PUBLIC The concept of public refers to the freedom that the user has to walk through a space, allowing the inhabitant to raise perceptions of collective appropriation through experiences that are transmitted by the symbolism of the building or space of common good. This project is a courthouse in Barranquilla, Colombia that was developed by thinking about “public”. The process entailed the analysis of the predicament that arises from a consideration of the security of a public building and the perception of the citizens (taking into account experience and memory). To understand the concept of the public in the architectural project it was necessary to create categories using the analog method of composition that allows a dialogue between the literary and the project. The categories are movement through space, perception and the landscape, understanding this as a sequence that starts from the pedestrian traffic on the sidewalk and likewise being guided by forking elements such as the slopes and reflecting pools of water as a physical barrier of direction not exclusion. So, the displacement continues on ramps that are elements of ascent and descent that lead to a space that greets the pedestrian in a centripetal way. This place feels permeability since the volumes are in open plan. The journey continues towards a curved central ramp that follows with the dynamic path that ascends to the walkable roof and leads to appreciate the qualities of the objects set out in the formal structure. In addition, the design looks to frame the landscape and provide intentional visual experiences. The analog method of composition by parts (MAC), seeks to put into practice the concept defined by the Professor Rafael Francesconi Latorre (quoted by Plutarch Rojas Quinones, 2012) which expresses the "propaedeutic, cultural and creative aspects of architectural composition" (p. 4). This method which works in diachronic (over time), but not synchronously (simultaneously), has defragmentation as base and analysis of projects in parts (minimum units of delimitation), sets (sets of pieces that are related) and systems (sets of sets) which operate autonomously. Understood and exercised the ability of defragmentation, which is made from the Tutor(s) Plutarco Eduardo Rojas Quiñones
