The thesis explores value associated with building typologies. Centre for Building Value is a system where public buildings are manufactured, prototyped and tested in Cumbernauld and then distributed across Scotland. The scheme provides first-class public facilities as prototypes duel used by Cumbernauld’s community and public services in order to research and develop valuable new typologies of public buildings.
