The Columbarium of Salford Part 1 Project 2016 Laura Anne Keay Manchester School of Architecture Manchester | UK During the 1840s, the city of Salford was once dominated by the factory, acting as the central nodes, however were closed down. The project integrates these nodes into the programme of a ‘library,’ to both preserve the city’s heritage and to create a civic establish-ment, engaging the people of Salford.
