Ark Part 2 Project 2016 Bryan MunnochGreg RobinsWandrille Madelain Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture | UK The Ark aims to provide a place of temporary refuge, a dynamic, responsive infrastructure, able to accommodate the flux of items in transit. Evolving within Nicosia’s UN Buffer Zone, the Ark reshapes a desolate urban landscape of demilitarisation to the rhythm of the Mediterranean’s cultural flows. Catering to individual environmental requirements is an accumulation of micro-climates that protect, preserve and study the domestic and institutional artefacts of civilisations under threat.
