Making Ground: An Architecture of Mythopoeia for Sheffield Part 2 Project 2016 Anthony Grout University of Nottingham Nottingham | UK This project proposes a community library for Sheffield, which sits on the site of Sheffield Castle and the culverted River Sheaf. By excavating the site, the foundations of the castle are exposed and a riverside park created. The library itself is formed of a landscape of platforms and columns which allow the building to become meaningful to its users by expressing the ways in which the building is inhabited.
