The Boardwalk, A connection between the existing brick warehouses that lay vacant on the Red Hook coast. The path creates a link for the community, protecting the character, history and nature of Red Hook, whilst providing a barrier from future flooding. Badly hit during Hurricane Sandy the neighbourhood struggled to recover. The boardwalk becomes moveable defence from the rising sea levels that threaten the area’s immediate future, whilst allowing for movement and gathering along the shore.
