“The People-Governed Transformer” is an adaptable public space strategy to reform and reactivate the Hong Kong cityscape, aiming to return the autonomy and authority of spatial usage to the disadvantaged public space lingerers, particularly the Foreign Domestic Workers (FDWs) in the city. The “Transformer” is a designed system of construction adjustable site-specifically, aiming to conceive a people-operable structure that further enables the existing public spaces and uplifts atmospheric experience.
