Semblr Part 2 Project 2017 Ivo Tedbury Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) | UK Semblr is a building system to enable fully-automated construction of housing for a post-work society. Identical timber building bricks, integrated with custom robots which climb over and position the bricks, make automated assembly possible, also allowing for easy changes to the building over time. The system challenges failing contemporary methods of housing production, instead proposing automated construction as an essential tool to expand people’s freedom and life fulfilment.
