Re-Assembled Communities Part 2 Project 2017 Phaidon Georgiades University of East London London | UK The project is a new city center and cycling bridge for the Samuda Estate on the Isle of Dogs, London. The estate is currently under threat of redevelopment. The proposal questions a long-standing development practice that has destroyed and displaced vulnerable communities, first through slum clearance and recently, through various forms of privatization and demolition of social housing. Instead, the intervention re-imagines existing communities, elements and urban patters, and follows to re-assemble them into new forms of inhabitation. Tutor(s) Christopher Hadrys
