City Zoomorphism Part 1 Project 2017 Bethany Hird Leeds Beckett University | UK City Zoomorphism is a six district, self-sustainable, closed ecosystem situated on the Suffolk island Orford Ness. This project focusses on the desalination district, a subterranean desalination factory which treats enough water to support the cities six hundred inhabitants and their agriculture. A combination of bladder-like water tanks, steamy desalination chambers, and reservoirs, the factories live-in workers are human – lizard hybrids as a result of the extreme conditions the factory contains.
