WaterLand Rural Infrascape of Water. Hilly Area. Southern China Part 2 Project 2017 Yusi Wang University of Hong Kong | China This thesis explores the possibility of development of rural China without urbanization. Through extensive observation, documentation and analytical drawings, it argues for landscape and water system purification, land and crops to act as catalysts for preparing the site/territory prior to any consideration of construction. The proposal by introducing regional water purification devices along the polluted 3000-year-old reservoir-based irrigation networks, tries to promote a bottom-up planning revitalising the village through time.
