The Living Room Part 2 Project 2017 Jacky Yin Fung Chan University of Hong Kong | China Contemporary medical approach to terminal patients is becoming more holistic and humanistic -- architecture must adapt to these changes by providing a specific environment for the end of life. The thesis uses the study of lighting and colour within existing elderly spaces to explore spatial perception and to argue that the architecture of ageing must respond to the specific psychologic and physical needs of people at the edge of life.
