Crossing the Thames Barrier: Adaptive Reuse of Existing Infrastructure under Climate Change Part 2 Project 2018 On U Derrick Leong Chinese University of Hong Kong | China This thesis project investigates how adaptive reuse and architectural intervention can create a generative dénouement for expired infrastructure under climate change. It envisions a transformative renovation of the ageing Thames Barrier in London, which would be decommissioned by 2050 due to rising flood levels. By providing an afterlife for this existing infrastructure, the public can experience the impact of global climate change. Tutor(s) Nelson Chen Ingrid Schröder
