Red Hook, Reconnected: Territorial Bridgings in the Vacant Lots Geography Part 2 Project 2018 Jiri Vala Catholic University of Leuven | Belgium The ground floor is the main level on which our public realm spreads. It expands in the streets, squares, parks and basically all publicly accessible open space. Limits of the space are defined by different architectural elements. This project aims to look beyond these limits and preset dogmas in order to extend the level of accessibility and possibilities of treating and sharing the common spaces and moreover the habitation itself.
