Efflorescence and Liturgy of Suburban Irritation Part 2 Project 2018 Bradley Mitchell Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology | Australia Is it possible to create a city with no centre? The project imagines a vacant, Australian totemic hardware store in a Melbourne fringe suburb to become an opera, a city and an experiment of urban protest. Made from a series of moving baroque stages to test adjacencies of suburban place – the roof, front window, street corner etc. – the inhabitants tinker, discover and wander new models of regulations, resistances and distractions.
