An-Thai-trust Act (2018) Part 1 Project 2018 Jin-Yu George Guu University of Hong Kong | China After WWII, Thailand was forced to sign 1946 Anglo-Thai Treaty (Article7), which prevented Thai Isthmus Canal’s construction. To ensure international political stability, this proposal re-imagines Kingdom of Siam’s mid-17th century idea of excavation for expanding sea-trading, and Xi Jinping’s Maritime Silk Road. An-Thai-trust Act (2018) is a landlocked canal, size of Singapore. Being world’s largest architectural-infrastructure combining engineering and landscape, its sheer existence challenges Thai sovereignty, security and China’s Belt-and-Road-Initiative.
