The Ardwick Garden of a Collective Past presents an entirely new building typology - a Bio-Cemetery.

The Bio-Cemetery, in Manchester, acts as a memorial for the collective community of Ardwick, referring to our collective memory of the past, to restore an individuals’ present and future after experiencing a bereavement. The scheme utilises the bodies to power the building and presents a venue for community events with a sacred green space.
