Balnagask Village: The Art of Sudden Encounters Part 1 Project 2018 Magdalena Wloczka Robert Gordon University | UK The project aims to challenge the social prejudice and disregard towards socially deprived areas, introducing increased density housing providing multi-generational co-habitation. The seaside village provides a harmonious sheltered environment, as a composition of 8 blocks gives shape to intimate external gathering spaces interwoven with a complex network of pathways. Social encounters are encouraged to happen simultaneously throughout the site, while allowing glimpses of the North Sea and the meadows. Magdalena Wloczka Tutor(s) Theodoros DounasMr Neil Lamb
