Factory of the Future / The Industry of Maintenance Part 2 Project 2018 Robin Romei RIBA Studio | UK The building takes an existing carpet showroom in Newhaven, East Sussex and transforms it into a new idea for a factory. Unlike other laboratories, it uses unsterile environments to develop antibiotics. The building is formed from mud bricks and has grass as a roof system. It can withstand rising water which protects local species of plants. Everyone in the town will be involved in the maintenance and working there. Robin Romei Tutor(s) Kate Cheyne
