Strength in Weakness: Choreographing Hong Kong Voids – Performative and Cultural Venues in Urban Weak Spaces Part 2 Project 2018 Man Siu University of Cambridge | UK This thesis examines the notion of weak spaces in the complex and ‘strong’ urbanism of Hong Kong. It explores the performative potential of this network of unproductive and temporal sites.A cross-disciplinary collaborative manifesto-in-action project Hetero-HK with series of installation-events was realized, transposing a fictional narrative onto selected weak spaces. The project recognizes the city as a receptacle for performances and how small narratives gives meaning to space reciprocally. Tutor(s) Ingrid Schröder
