Social Symbiosis Part 1 Project 2018 Martin Schroder University of Portsmouth | UK The project reinterprets conventional high-rise living, creating an engineered environment in the sky. This offers tower block dwellers much needed public space to interact with their otherwise unknown neighbours. Simultaneously, it aims to create a resilient space, where ‘buildings’ or environments, adapt and change depending on external conditions. When climate change is threatening to engulf major portions of our land, new approaches in architecture and urban design will be required.
