Canal Wharf Mill: Re-activating the Dichotic Conditions of Industrial Heritage Part 1 Project 2018 Rafael Bear University of Central Lancashire | UK Following the disuse of Canal Wharf Mill as a roadside attraction in 2002, this project sees the conversion of the 1850’s textile mill into a museum and 3d printing research facility. The refurbished mill simultaneously provides an economic framework and a building responsive to its environmental context. An industrial hoist system both recalls the original building use and confronts the high flood risk in a passive manner. Rafael Bear Tutor(s) Simon Kay-Jones
