Homeostatic Distribution: Balancing industry with nature. Part 2 Project 2019 Edward Sutcliff University of Kent | UK The facility offers an alternative to existing UK retail distribution services, which are slow, cumbersome and damaging to the environment. The proposal aims to reduce the dangerous transport emissions by managing all stages of distribution from cargo handling to order delivery from one location and employing the emerging technology of drone delivery. The architectural typology is derived directly from studies into the site scarring caused by previous industrial activities in The Swale and serves as a catalyst for the return of nature, simultaneously supporting the habitation of human and non-human occupants.
