The Project serves as a Mediterranean Agora that wraps up the Mediterranean realm.

The literal meaning of the Agora is "gathering place" or "assembly". The Agora was the centre of the athletic, artistic, spiritual and political life in the city. The concept seeks to study the power of water (Mediterranean Sea) to influence the change of activities and reshaping land and circulation.

Mediterranean Sea levels have fluctuated over the years; it is now 120 meters higher than 20,000 years ago. These changes have defined the limits of the land, the shape of the coasts, and the activities occurring there. The sea shaped the typology of the cities and the civilisations that flourished on the Mediterranean shores. Maritime Commerce across the cities of the Mediterranean created routes in the sea, although the power of the sea destroyed many ships the settled in the sea rock bed.

This project resembles the power of the Mediterranean, where water is the driver of change in circulation, activities, and spatial organisation. Water levels will be progressively flowing in and out, opening & closing spaces. The spaces will become floodplains when they are not in use, and this will create a new experience around their banks.
