This undergraduate thesis opens the opportunity for the discussion of the eulogy of origin, and highlights the necessity and importance of the architecture as city construction. By means of a relationship between the tectonic structure and the formal structure, starting from the commissioning of an architectural educational plant within the context of patrimonial insertion.

The project is developed in the Cathedral neighbourhood, in the city of Bogotá, Colombia. The objective of the investor is an educational equipment for the Rosario University. “El Tiempo” building by Bruno Violí and Valher building by engineer Ramiro Villegas. In addition, the proposal includes a connection with the educational complex of the University of Rosario, and recover the value of the commercial passages of the twentieth century.

In conclusion, the proposal, which could be categorised as odious and outlandish, demonstrates that the ""good work"" of architecture is the result of relating the structures to their surroundings. There is no use a formidable structure, beautiful, fine and delicate details; If you are totally out of context of your environment. After all, Architecture is a communicating element, therefore, it will only fulfil this purpose if it is properly integrated with its surroundings.
