A Forum for Things Part 2 Project 2020 Fraser Biggins London Metropolitan University | UK A Forum for Things explores the practice of transformation & change in architecture through the re-shaping of the existing London Metropolitan Architecture school in Whitechapel. The physical medium of it’s construction is challenged with the ideology of a transformation of it’s educational structure; it is the essence of the relationship between physical change and metaphorical effect that drives the ambitions of this project. In a culture where the cost of human labour often out weights all calls for re-use the project seeks resolution through the thriftiest of all means. Learning from Brandlhuber’s transformational ‘Anti Villa’, each action and each change is considered as a question of effort and effect, resource and resolve. It is through this balance that the question of transformation is posed. Fraser Biggins Tutor(s) James Hand Fabienne Sommer Ben Speltz Peter St John
