Beyond Green: BIOS Experiential Hub Part 2 Project 2020 Mohd Tajul Izrin Mohd Tajul Hasnan MARA University of Technology - Puncak Alam campus | Malaysia The proposal sets in Malaysia in the year 2035 where the rapid development of the capital city might reach its peak. The manifesto brings attention to the future collaboration of Malaysia authorities and pioneer of Algae related industry to transform the city of ShahAlam into Malaysia’s best low carbon model city in the near future. The study aims to educate people on microalgae via experiential learning and microalgae’s educational program. The approach empowers building users to engage on the subject through the architectural flow of spaces. It embraces a series of extensive manifestation to encourage people’s reflection and acceptance towards microalgae, as well as generative walkable interconnected surfaces to break the norm of space experience. The provocation of basic human senses would hopefully stir the initial unfavorable impression of microalgae. Furthermore, the building incorporates an integrated PBR facade envelope system to generate a sustainable flow of biomass and reduce a significant amount of heat gain into the building. The innovatory advances might be a convincing key alternative solution to existing green building strategies. In short, BIOS is the future biological manifestation designed to comprise a revolutionary green-driven building by means of the application of microalgae technologies in the built environment.
