The Bare-Knuckle Fight Club Part 1 Project 2021 Alya Aly Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport - Smart Village Campus Cairo | Egypt The project tackles the idea of anarchy and how it can be embodied in architecture. An experience without rules, away from the prying eyes of the law. The ambiguity of the location has made it a spot for borderline illegal activities throughout the years. The abandoned sea forts are transformed to a place for people who are looking to ease some stress, relieve their anti-social tendencies, take up a new sport, settle disputes, or even to make some money. The structures are formed by scavenging materials gathered from the many surrounding shipwrecks and are parasitically attached to the existing forts. There is no specific order for how to experience the structures, no linearity of movement in time, no beginning and no end. Users pass through a fluid experience, indistinguishable and chaotic. The Bare-Knuckle Fight Club is the rejection of time, safety, and all traditional ideologies of space.
