An opportunity to transform a vast scarred landscape from its current day problems into a special place that local people, the city and the region can be proud of.The scheme which would be managed by the local community living within the deprived areas bordering the site and the active groups within Parkwood Springs are keen to help improve the quality of the green and open spaces within the site. The proposal would include the erection of a community centre with various spaces set to be adaptable for different venues using the ethos “Space is never neutral”.It will consist of community allotments, cycle paths, community market stalls aswell as an outdoor Multi sports court which can also be used as a stage venue space.
