Seaweed Biomachine Factory Part 2 Project 2022 Louay Mahmoud Ghezzawi Beirut Arab University - Debbieh campus | Lebanon The zouk powerplant is considered as a death node of the Zouk Mosbeh Area, terminating cancer and a non-functional powerplant for the area. The Seaweed Bio machine building comes as a solution to rebuild the urban environment of the site, considering it a brownfield, and contributing to the health and wellbeing of the larger urban area through a biological seaweed system. The project uses the seaweed cultivation process that is considered as a very famous bio marine farming in Lebanon, to formulate biofuel and later on use it in the zouk powerplant as a future vision for the new functionality of the powerplant. However, that is not the only thing the project aims to do, the other reason would be the damage that was caused by the Beirut Explosion tended to destroy the ecosystem found in the marine, that is why the seaweed is partly thrown again in the water considering it as a bio- driver, and fulfilling the purpose of regenerative design models.
