A New Contract of Architecture Part 2 Project 2022 George Philip Cooley University of Lincoln Lincoln | UK This project begins a rigorous investigation into how to create a new contract between architecture and humanism. It aims to create this through the exploitation of threshold conditions and liminal space. The typology of the scheme is focused on a rehabilitation centre for social media addicts. Trapped in a virtual world we have found ourselves disconnecting from reality. Through the use of a secluded landscape, the architecture offers guests an opportunity to reconnect with the tangible world as well as gain a greater awareness of space. Working with durability over sustainability the project creates spaces that reconnect people with nature through architecture. Tutor(s) Peter Baldwin
