The Link Project is a proliferating module and urban strategy for an environmental hub that aligns with the context of Christchurch Road, presenting a low-tech solution that embraces the existing site rather than requiring destructive redevelopment. This approach reflects a respect for the history, culture, and physical fabric of the area, crucial for maintaining a sense of continuity and community identity.

The environmental hub inhabits the wasted dead space of the site, serving as a catalyst for positive change by actively engaging the public in discussions about urban challenges and conservation. By providing a platform for community participation and education, the hub aims to raise awareness and inspire sustainable practices in Bournemouth.

Also striving to consider the environmental impact of material choices, structural systems, and environmental control methods to minimise the ecological footprint, conserve resources, and contribute to a healthier and more sustainable built environment.

The proposal demonstrates a keen understanding of the potential for growth and the capabilities of creative technology. The modularity of the structure allows for easy expansion and adaptation, ensuring that the hub can evolve alongside the changing needs of the community. It is a massive piece of infrastructure and an accumulation of small-scale fragments simultaneously.
