Factory of Creativity Part 1 Project 2023 Vedrana Donic University of Belgrade | Serbia The concept of the building is based on preserving the identity of the location by adding elements of industrial architecture, to which an area is located. We are witnessing the gradual loss of the city's identity, which is accompanied by the alienation of people. Recognizable architecture disappears overnight. One of the biggest inspirations for creating this project was how artists described BIGZ and its atmosphere. It was a space that people identified with precisely because it was imperfect, multifunctional, and adaptable. For artists, it was not the most common workplace, but a special universe bursting with creative energy. To preserve the artistic alternative scene, the atmosphere of the BIGZ space, which was passionately described by artists, is being moved to the "Creative Factory". The product of work is an assembly whose silhouette resembles an industrial building. With this form, I responded to the task of preserving the identity of the industrial zone, to which the location of the building belongs. The city is mainly losing its silhouette, alienating people from themselves and each other, creating a monotonous image. Although we should follow the pace of modern technology, we should also protect the identity of the city, and develop a sense of belonging and community. Vedrana Donic Tutor(s) Goran Vojvodic
