Waste to Energy Plant Part 1 Project 2023 Saba Kharshiladze Caucasus University Tbilisi | Georgia The first steps of designing began with research. The waste processing plant was chosen as the project topic, which was derived from the real problems of the city of Tbilisi, because the waste is not sorted and processed in the city. The project area was selected based on research, how convenient and how appropriate its use was from the point of view of sustainability. It was decided to place the factory on an existing landfill, which allowed us to give new life to the area. The design of the building is dictated by its function, and therefore the factory is monumental. The forms are massive, and there are signs of brutalist architecture. As a result of dividing the work process into two symmetrical parts, it was possible to create a recreational zone in the plant. The factory consists of technical areas necessary for the work process, as well as offices, research room, security room and medical room. It is completely adapted to disabled and can be adjusted in any point possible safely. The factory has the ability and potential to become a multi-genre nightclub after the end of its function, when the city switches to reusing instead of incinerating.
