The Politics of an Incomplete Landscape: An Architecture of Co-Production on Pedra Branca Part 2 Project 2023 Eugene Wei Jie Tan National University of Singapore | Singapore 'The Politics of an Incomplete Landscape: An Architecture of Co-Production on Pedra Branca' is a body of work that studies the co-production of architecture between human and non-human actants. The proposition is sited on Pedra Branca, a rocky island 24 nautical miles off Singapore’s eastern coast. The island’s disputed political status resulted in architectural developments doubling as assertive claims to its sovereignty. Responding to this, the project questions how we might inhabit these disputed and politically-charged sites through a design methodology that spans four steps: (i) An expanded vocabulary to study a site for co-production, (ii) the time-sharing of spaces between human and non-human actants, (iii)the co-production of architecture between human and non-human actants, (iv) the deconstructing of politicised representations through dialectical proposals.
