Consciousness & Unconsciousness for the Freedom of Autism Children Part 2 Project 2023 Ahmad Ibrahim Dernayka Beirut Arab University - Tripoli campus | Lebanon The percentage of children with autism is increasing day by day in Lebanon, especially in the northern region. Parents have struggled to find a solution to the challenges posed by autism and have been unable to locate an ideal facility that caters to their children's needs. Sadly, individuals on the autism spectrum often face oppression and are unable to live a typical life; they feel trapped, as if confined within a prison. My project aims to address this by focusing on the five pillars of sensory development for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). ASD is a neurodevelopmental condition characterized by difficulties in social interactions and communications. That's why the Rehabilitation Autism Center project was established, considering the needs of individuals and the transition from the enclosed world of unconsciousness that every child with autism experiences to the open world of consciousness. By visiting the center, autistic children will be more social through new project experiences. The integration with nature and the implementation of biophilic design, known for its effectiveness in psychological treatment, will contribute to their social development. Ras Maska has been identified as the most suitable location for this center, ensuring comfort for the children. Tutor(s) Ayman Afify Eslam El Samahy Walid Makkouk
