Part 2 Project 2024

We live in a world which is transforming at an extremely fast pace; the importance of international trade and the multinational affinity between countries is becoming increasingly important, resulting in a pressing need for Kuwait to enact changes to be a key player in global markets. This need for increased security measures, alongside the drive to penetrate these markets, has resulted in a critical requirement to modernize the Abdali Northern land port, which acts as the northern gateway for The Gulf region connecting it to Iraq and, thus, to the rest of the European markets. Despite the urgent requirements for change, all development for the site has been forsaken. The project will seek to address and solve all these issues so that the land port becomes a pivotal point for generating a global transit base. Combining all these factors will result in a highly enhanced image of the country at an international level, turning the border crossing area into a landmark showcasing the nation's prosperity and status. Moreover, the increased capability to cross will be a consequential result, inevitably increasing foreign contact with Kuwaitis, improving international relationships, and bringing neighbouring Arab societies closer together.
