The Great Repair

Part 2 Project 2024

University of Sydney | Australia
Over the past century, rapid technological progress has homogenized global architecture, often disconnecting design from local climates through an increasing reliance on advanced building technologies. Set within the decaying remains of Norman Foster’s Deutsche Bank Building in Sydney, this project envisions a fictional future of decay and reclamation. The narrative deliberately regresses from the extremes of AI-generated imagery to the simplicity of handmade drawings and models, mirroring the devolution of the building's future occupants. By presenting this vision of the future, the project challenges viewers to reflect on our relationship with technology and the potential consequences for our built environment and way of life.
