This project concerns the redevelopment of a whole city block in one of the dense residential parts of Sofia. The proposed low storey structure preserves the specific small scale of the surrounding buildings, and at the same time suggests high living standard and an optimum connection of every single residence with the environment.
The compounds of greatest importance for this site are, of course, the open public spaces that are creating conditions for social contacts and, at the same time, are opening the structure to the surrounding residential, public and commercial zones.

The project avoids the classical street space and the modernist open structures and propose a small scale urban model that provides a transition from the public street space to large semi-public open spaces. The entrances open loggia and the sheltered galleries refer to the bulgarian building traditions and give identity to the housing structure. The types of dwellings offer high-level standard but not individuality. The solution of the facades may seem chaotic, but prevents monotony.
