In the heart of Dubai, Deira's bustling Al Ras district necessitated a unique market to alleviate congestion and offer a sanctuary within the urban landscape. The project integrates landscape elements to guide circulation and employs palm wood for sustainability and aesthetic appeal. The staggered envelope of the building mirrors Deira's intricate alleys, providing multiple entryways and creating a seamless blend with the city fabric. This market not only diffuses the area's congestion but also offers a refuge for its visitors.

By observing the interaction of people within Deira, it became evident that a market designed with these elements could enhance the existing system without disruption. The courtyard, visible from all zones, serves as a central sanctuary, while the use of local palm wood reduces import costs and supports sustainability. The design embodies the ephemerality of disassembly, reflecting the transient nature of human interaction. The market thus becomes a place of refuge that harmoniously integrates with the city's rhythm, addressing the needs of Deira's dynamic urban life.
