This project is about a Sensual Park based in the theory of the artistic movement, the Situasionism, who created the psicogeography, a new way of studying the city, based in sensations and feelings. This park contains different ambiences connected into each other by footbridges and stairs, going up and down through a masts homogeny structure, where visitants go drifting through different atmospheres and sensations. This vertical elements forest is tied by tensors which shape a bottom net recreating the topography of the rubble place. This net characterizes the ambiences because of the light going through and because of light filters hanging on it.

We focused on Situacionism to design a great landscape architecture project. The site was Knossos´s ruins, supposed an ubicuous or portable place anywhere in downtown Santiago de Chile. Beatriz´s work develops three interconnected planes. First, she defines the architectural coordinates of meaningful urban ethnographical atmospheres. Second, she topologically distributes the atmospheres, ambiances, in the ruins and connect then through "vectors of desire". Finally, shapes of the paths to drifting are designed following subtle sensual qualities, sounds, lights, odours, and are built by a system of nautical structures. The result is a sophisticated urban space to play, to experience passions, to interchange, or simply to live the e-planet in hot point areas.

For this particular project a previous study of the city was made. This study was based on the psychogeography of the city, rescuing the most characteristic ambiances in it. After, unites de ambiances were defined in a ruin land.
Study of the atmospheres based in a cadastre of the different ambiances in the city .Certain ambiances were intersected creating new unites d’ambiance.
Topographical study of the ruin land to define the disposition of the atmosphere units. The categories for the analysis were the flood areas in the territory and its topographical shapes.
Sensation Park in a ruin land: the park is created by a regular grid of masts, as vertical elements that hold circulations in the park and qualify the space. These vertical elements are structured by a reticule that acts as a net hooked up to the edges.
The reticule lifts up the topography of the territory qualifying the atmospheres of the park thanks to the shadows projected and to the light filters that hang from the structure creating new light atmospheres.
Regular grid of boat masts structured by a reticule creating an artificial forest covering the territory unless extensive unite d’ambiance with an open ceiling for a direct sunlight.
Park circulations guided by the senses connect the different ambiances. There’s a circulation system related to each sense. e.g.The sound circulation passes through the ambiances that have big differences in their sound intensity.
Study of the shadows projected in the territory at different hours of the day and during different seasons of the year. In winter the shadow is lighter but encloses a bigger area but during summertime the shadow has more contrast.
Sensual unite d’ ambiance Near the flooded areas of the territory, an ambiance was defined. This ambiance is characterized by light filters where situations of informal market are created thanks to the shadow left by the light filters.
Party unite d’ ambiance In the platform area of the territory a situation for the youth encounter and spontaneous party is created. This is developed thanks to the measure of the territory in these areas and due to the light filters.
Light temperature in the sensual unite de ambiance In the sensual ambiance the filters were designed in white and gray colors, in order to give a colder temperature. These filters are useful to give shadow and to intensify the colors.
Light temperature in the party unite de ambiance In the party ambiance a red- orange filter was designed to crate the sensation of a warm atmosphere, feigning the late afternoon light.
Detail_ Union of the boat mast with a gangway supporting beam. The double crosstree mast structure supports more weight thanks to the equivalent distribution of it.
Detail_ Gangway over the supporting beam. The gangways are lifted up from the territory touching it only in the ambiances.
Detail_ Stairs that hang from the supporting beam and finally relay on the territory. The stairs are used in all of the circulations to connect the land level with the gangway level.
