Mystery Play Archive and Theatre Part 1 Project 2017 Andreea Daniela Ditu University of Sheffield | UK My final thesis project was a personal interpretation of an archive and performance venue for the York Mystery Plays. Dealing with a revived medieval traditional street performance, specific to York and a site placed within the medieval core of the city, the notion of palimpsest, of gradual accumulation of the new on top of a strong old, guided the definition of both brief and building.
