The Interlace Part 2 Project 2017 Chinonyerem Ugwuonah University of Central Lancashire | UK Inspired by Preston's heritage, ‘The Interlace’ is a project that focuses on providing a space for sustainable fabric manufacturing with second-hand clothing as the raw material. This project breaches the practical skill gap in the training of fashion designers and encourages company start-ups, through knowledge transfer from skilled workers to unskilled, while reducing the number of clothes that go to landfill as well as its environmental impact.
