The Notch Houses Part 1 Project 2014 Katerina Krupickova Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design Prague | Czech republic Despite continuing construction activities there has been a lack of one-bed room and two-bed room apartments for students and singles in Czech Republic since 1900s.The plot for my development has two faces. One is a steep stairs between the street wall and the remains of the city walls leading to Nový svet. The second one is the terrace of extinct vineyards, founded by the emperor Charles IV. My design is set on the terraces copying the two faces. Buildings are based on co-housing using shared space for laundry, social and dining rooms, accommodation for friends and depositories for prams etc. Katerina Krupickova Tutor(s)
