Burr Bank Bathing Machine Part 1 Project 2016 Thomas Hudson-Davies University of Sheffield | UK The design of this bath house takes inspiration from Scarborough’s historic relationship with water. The cavernous, subterranean spa references the town’s initial uses of water for its medicinal purposes with the mineral spa. Above, the bright public space and lido acknowledges the more leisurely connection to water that came later as the town developed into a popular seaside resort. The project aims to redefine the faded identity of Scarborough. Thomas Hudson-Davies Tutor(s)
