Vacíos Que Capturan Momentos del Paisaje Part 2 Project 2024 Pamela Arcila Bustamante Pontifical Bolivarian University | Colombia The project for the Miraflores Station, located next to Quebrada Santa Elena in the city of Medellín, Colombia, focuses on integrating with the surrounding landscape. Using elements such as the ravine, the mountain and the forest, the design of the building translates them into architectural forms incorporating steps, gardens, pools and steps that form an essential part of the building's program. Taking advantage of the topography of the land, vertical and horizontal voids are created that allow ventilation and the entry of natural light, while the walls are retracted to guarantee these characteristics in the interior spaces.Intermediate spaces and patios create fluid transitions between interior and exterior and between the different programs. On the first level, public access to the ravine and the station is facilitated through paths and viewpoints, promoting its revitalization.
